Lead Designer

Effective design is crucial to our success as a company. For our marketing pages, conveying value and use-cases is key. For our product pages, being simple and intuitive is key.

Whether it's designing a beautiful marketing page or new product feature, you will be involved in making sure everything we launch looks great and works well. You will be our first full time designer, so you will have a massive impact on brand & direction.

Ideally you're a full-stack designer. You should be comfortable making detailed graphics, figuring out how an application should work and feel, and turning your ideas into working prototypes using HTML and CSS.

You’ll:

  • Be mainly working in Sketch/Photoshop and HTML.
  • Bring new features from concept to shipped product.
  • Come up with new product directions and messaging.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of experience designing.
  • Proven track record of shipping great products.
  • A strong and opinionated visual design style.

To apply, please send us an email at jobs+designer@clearbit.com and include:

  1. Some work that you’re proud of.
  2. If available, a link to your Dribbble profile or your portfolio.
  3. A description of your work history (whether as a resume, LinkedIn profile, or prose).

Software Engineer

As one of the first engineers at Clearbit, you'll have a huge impact on our product and direction. You'll be working very closely with the rest of our team, creating APIs, building out server infrastructure, and managing huge amounts of data.

We value ownership highly—the ability to take an idea through all the stages from conception to shipping a product. This reflects throughout our company, but is especially true in engineering. As an engineer at Clearbit, you'll be highly independent and autonomous. Since we're building such disparate data APIs you'll be working with a large array of different technologies and fields. Expect lots of interesting challenges.

You’ll:

  • Mainly work with a Ruby/Sinatra/Sequel/Postgres stack.
  • Bring new features from concept to shipped product.
  • Come up with new product directions and APIs.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of experience in Ruby.
  • Independent and self motivated—side projects and gems a major plus.
  • Docker, CoreOS and system administrations skills a plus.
  • A home base in San Francisco

To apply, please send us an email at jobs+engineer@clearbit.com and include:

  1. A brief write-up explaining who you are as a programmer. For example, how you got started, what area of the stack you feel most familiar with, what motivates you, what technologies do you want to learn over the next year.
  2. Some ways you think Clearbit could improve, APIs we could add etc.
  3. A side project you really enjoyed working on.
  4. Links to online profiles you use (GitHub, Twitter, etc)
  5. A description of your work history (whether as a resume, LinkedIn profile, or prose).

Account Executive

We are a small but rapidly growing company looking for a sales lead to join our team and help us grow our list of clients. As an early member of this team you will have a huge impact on our growth, sales pitch, and product direction.

  • Have an impact on sales strategy and product priorities.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Build and enhance relationships with our largest customers.
  • Build lists of qualified outbound sales leads and manage email outreaches.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2-4 years of experience in customer/client-facing role.
  • Ability to understand the Clearbit API and build great relationships with highly technical customers.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Strong interest in technology.
  • Based in San Francisco

To apply, please send us an email at jobs+success@clearbit.com and include:

  1. A sample cold outreach email to a Clearbit prospect of your choice.
  2. For your chosen Clearbit prospect, describe the expected sales process and your plan to win the account.
  3. Some ways you think Clearbit could improve, APIs we could add etc.
  4. Anything else that would help us understand your aptitude for sales and account management.
  5. A description of your work history (whether as a resume, LinkedIn profile, or prose).

The Business Development Representative will join our small team and will be responsible for driving our sales funnel.

  • Develop and improve outbound prospecting strategies.
  • Proactively work to maintain and improve CRM data quality.
